My great gradnfather George Faulkner was known in Cuba for bring sheep and cattle from Alberta, Canada to Havanna, Cuba. I has also heard stories of how he helped the Cuban people produce hardy crops during civil war times. When he was about 92 years old he broke his hip and passed away in Cuba. His remains supposbly are in a cript in Havanna. I am searching for there where abouts, so I can find such a man who did his family proud.

Surnames: Faulkner
Well hello, relative of some sort, :). Great grampa was born March 16, 1874 in Nova Scotia. His parents were Issac J. Faulkner and Mary Alice Hill. He was known for teaching the Cubans animal husbandry as they were spending tons of money bringing in new cattle but didn't know how to care for them. His wife was Eleanor Fountain McLellan. He died in Havana at the age of 97 after breaking a hip, on November 12, 1970. He is interred in Havanna. My husband Allan ( who is his great grandson) and I have gone to the cemeteries twice in Havana trying to find his grave to no avail. They are HUGE.
Someone named Phyllis E. A. Faulkner seems to have some information but I have no idea how to contact this person. We too, would love more information.

Take care,
Lorna Faulkner

Also, george's son, Allen Faulkner is still alive and lives in Sherwood Park, Alberta or in Edmonton now, he just moved into a care home. I will see if I can find out more.
