If you go to UTEP, Special Collections, there is supposedly Cuaron info in the "Ciudad Juarez Municipal Archives" (106 rolls).

Ask for assistance from:

Ernest my name is marco antonio cuaron sorry it has taken me long to respond i saw your request for info on the cuaron family about a month ago. just wanted to inform you that we (my cousin also ernesto cuaron)started doing research last summer. we started in cd juarez civil registry then to the cathedral we found that the q/cuaron family origin when they came to mexico was spain. the Q changed to C about 1830 to 1840 we obtained baptism cert. for most of Q/cuaron in the 1700 and 1800 we would like to search this info with you and any one interested once a month the cuarons for the last 8 months get together for breakfast the first sunday of the month this include some of the cuarons from cd juarez and el paso tex It would be great if at some time in the future there could a cuaron convention somewhere thats agreeable to the majority. We found that all q/cuarons come from Felix Anttonio Quaron and Maria Carmen de la Gandara married on aug 26 1726 in chihuahua mexico they had a set of girls twins in 1729 then Lorenzo Anttonio Quaron in 1732-Michaela Quaron in 1735--We all come from that line Lorenzo had 4 boys and 4 girls. there was a Carlos Anttonio Quaron also shows in 1726 and 1728 but only as a godparent to unrelated persons as far a i can tell. Carlos is a brother or father to Felix.if you have a fax ill be happy some of this info. Also I travel to abq and colorado springs quit often I would enjoy having a cup of coffee with you. i believe that all the cuarons in the US are from Jesus Cuaron who was married to Rita Tellez in 1845 they has some property in mexico and also in the las cruces area they would travel back and forth. sometimes baptizing in both locations

Adela,
I went to AZ Archives in Phoenix to research the Cuaron family. I found many records for Jesus and Michaela Cuaron and kids...

Do you have all these records?
Is your grandfather buried in Calvary Cemetary in Los Angeles?

Do you know anything about your grandfather's backgroud before Morenci. Perhaps did he come from El Paso/Ysleta/Las Cruces or did he come from Chihuahua?
Did he look Indian or Spanish?

Lots of questions.
Look forward to your information!

Maggie

I am searching for information on the Cuaron family of San Eli and El Paso. I have cool info but am now looking for real documentation of Anita Cuaron, mother of Frank Cuaron. The Cuaron, Quevedo, Saroldi and Lujan families were all interrelated in the mid 1800's in the El Paso area.

There was an Anita Cuaron born to Jose Eugenio and Pilar Lino Cuaron. (Jan 6 1877, Silver City, NM). Both parents were from the El Paso/Mesilla area and later settled in Morenci AZ.

If this is the Anita that you seek, I have family documents that may be interesting to you.
