My paternal grandfather was named Juan Cuadrado. Very little is known about him. He was a Spanish soldier in the 1800s, stationed in the Philippines. After the war, he decided to stay on and married a lady by the name of Salud Samson, with whom he had two children - Juan Jr. and Pilar. He also wrote a very famous song in the Philippines entitled "No Te Vayas de Zamboanga." For whatever reason, he and my grandmother separated. He went back to Spain and she stayed on in the Philippines. I'm not sure exactly where in Spain he was from. I believe he had a brother who was a priest. I really would appreciate any information that anyone might have to help me in my search for my grandfather's relatives. I am in the process of putting together a family tree for the sake of the next generation.
Thank you.
