Surnames: Csonka , Chunko ,Supko
I am looking for info on Ferencz and Maria Csonka that came over from Budapest Hungary to the US around the early 1900's.It has been said that they changed their names to Frank and Mary Chunko and they lived in PA for a while before moving to central NY. Frank worked in a coal mine in PA then worked for 35 years at Solvay Process in NY. In Mary's obituary in 1956 it said she was survived by a sister ,Mrs John Supko. Thanks for any info.

The LDS-Mormons have filmed the church records of Budapest but you need to know in which district they were born/baptized to order the records. You have documentation that confirms Budapest as the place of birth?
Do you know which port they came thru? Was it Ellis Island? www.ellisislandrecords.org
