CRYMES, Early 1800s, Upstate SC
Would appreciate assistance with the CRYMES family of Upstate SC, specifically in the Greenville, Lauren Cos. of SC. They intermarry with the WESTMORELANDS, LESTERS, DUDLEYS, etc. My ancestor left SC ca. 1840s and headed for Lauderdale Co., AL. THANKS!!

Descendants of Thomas Crymes
My Grandfather was Thomas George Crymes born February 7, 1873 - Died April 12, 1949. He was a dentist here in Greenville, S.C. He was married to Mary Trowbridge Crymes. I don't know who his parents were, but I believe we were descendants of Thomas Crymes. I am still doing the research on this. My sisters and I grew up at Thornwell School for boys and girls in Clinton, S.C. I don't know a whole lot about my family, so if you find out any thing that may be useful to my research I would appreciate the info. Thanks, Deanie

Ann, I have some copies of a few pages from a book, titled, "The Crymes Genealogy" written by Tony Jones. The copies are not very good and are hard to read. Do you know of this book? I believe it may have what we are both looking for. Anyway, I have E-mailed someone who may be able to help. I'll let you know what I find out. I tried to e-mail you at the address you gave me and it didn't go through, so I guess I'll get you through the message board. My e-mail address is Pitt3326@aol.com Thanks for your help, and I hope to be hearing from you. If you would like to write to me, my address is: Deanie Crymes Pittman 107 Pheasant Ridge Drive Taylors, South Carolina 29687-1808

Re: CRYMES, Early 1800s, Upstate SC
Mr Crymes, I hope you don't mind me butting in like this, but I saw your message listed here and thought it might be worth a shot. I was wondering if in your records you have any information on Truman Crymes. He was my grandfather. He had a brother named Ed (Edward) that I believe lives/lived in Greenville, SC and probably several others but I have no verification on this. Also, he married Claudia Louvinia Smith and had 3 children with her. They were/are Ruby, Sybil, and a son that died early in age. He was also the game warden at Broadway Lake in SC. I am new to ancestry research and I would greatly appreciate any information you might have. Thank you, Leslie
