Hi there,
Just a quick hello to all you Crymble's. I too am a Crymble still living in Northern Ireland. It is interesting to hear of Crymble's scattered over the globe. Have you ever gone to www.crymble.com - some Scottish guys wedding page!

Hi Peter,

I am trying to find info on my grandfather. His name was David Crymble born in Belfast. I believe he went to America to join a relative (early 1900's). He later moved to South Africa where he married my grandmother (Mary Else). On moving to South Africa he also changed his name to Hagley.

However, grandfather's father was a Thomas Crymble married to a Mary McDowell. There were five children (Isobel, John, Thomas, David, and James).

Apparently, Thomas was killed during the war in 1914. James was married and remained in Belfast. There are also family apparently called Lindsay that are connected. If you have any information, I would be most grateful if you could let me know the connections. Perhaps, you are a distant relative?

Regards,

Douglas Taylor

Do you know Rayna Scrivener nee Crymble from New Zealand? You may be descended from the same family. I tried her email on this board, but it is no longer active.

I know of a James Crymble who was also into genealogy. Unfortunately, he has passed.

Hello there.

Are you the Peter Crymble with the photos from N'Ireland? I'm sure we must be related in some way. My father was Thomas Hill Crymble - son of William Rowan Crymble and Rosina Todd. Tom was born in Eden N'lreland in 1916. with four brothers and one sister. Brothers Jimmy,Rowan.Joe and Robert. Sister Jean. All the brothers are dead including Dad. Sister Jean is in a sheltered home in Belfast. My Grandfather was a Baker, His wife Rosina died just after giving birth to her last son Robert. Grandfather had at least one brother whos name was Thomas Hill Crymble. Hence the passing of the name to my father. I belive that his name (my grandfathers) was given to his brothers son and so on.

I see the contacts on the www.crymble.com page and intend to contact them to see if I can add to the build up of a big family tree.

Kind Regards

Peter C.

Hi Bonita
I have reverted back to my maiden name of Crymble and have just been checking the net on the 'Family Tree'. I have unfortunately lost my copy of the Crymble line (starting from Charles Crymble 06/04/1743 - Jean Giffen 15/07/1759) - if you can shed any light - fantastic!

Hi Peter
Doing some research on the Crymble name came across this site.
Strangely my name is Peter Crymble. My father was Thomas Hugh Crymble from Greenock, Scotland. Before him John Crymble from Belfast. I believe Crymble was originally Huguonot French and fled France to England and Ireland in the 1600's
A Karl Crymble from Canada has done extensive research into
the Crymble history, many Crymbles still live in Nth Ireland, Carrickfergus, Ballymeney, Ballycastle etc.

Hello all. Robert (or Roy to those who knew him) was my grandfather. Sister Jean entertained me as a child with many stories of her travels round the world.

Roy had 2 children, Stuart and Joanne. Stuart then had 2 boys (keeping the line alive) in myself and my brother Daniel.

Grandad Roy was an absolute gentle giant and sadly missed.

Would be lovely to build some contacts with people within the family tree and learn more about our fascinating surname.

Please email me if you're interested in the same (although sadly I know very little of our history)
