Hi out there. I have been checking out some of the history of the Crymble name (just like my dad Brian Crymble) and I am really interested in other Crymbles around the world. We have a family tree of the Crymble family from Northern Ireland, dating back to Charles Crymble, who was born 27 April 1743. He wed a Jean Giffen born 15 July 1759. Basically, what we have is the Crymble line descended from Charles, in Northern Ireland to present day. To the Crymbles in the USA, it would be great to hear from you with your family trees. My Grandfather Samuel Crymble's parents were Samuel Ferguson Crymble (b.6 Apr 1862 d.25 Jul 1954) and Sarah Elizabeth Deboys (b.8 Oct 1872 d.11 Jun 1932). I am curious to know if there is anyone who has information on the Deboys family. Apparently the family Deboys/Dubois originated in France. Can you anyone tell me some history on this name?

Hi ... I am looking for DeBoys who lived in Northern Ireland as well. I am looking for Hugh DeBoys b: ca 1800 and married to Margaret Wilson. I have the christening of two of their children: Isabella and James in 1830 and 1833 in Carnmoney, Country Antrim, Ireland in the Church of Ireland in Carnmoney. I can not find any marriage or the other known child, Mary Jane b: ca 1837, christening, so I feel they may have come from farther north in Ireland. The story I have is that Margaret died in 1848 .. nothing on her husband Hugh. James emigrated to America in 1854 .. and I believe the two girls came about 1860.
I did see 4 Hugh DeBoys listed on the 1851 census but north of Antrim ... how can I tell if any of them are 'my' Hugh Deboys?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there, I'm friendly with Helen Monroe (nee Crymble) in Belfast - I guess you know her as she is your cousin. We are helping a prfessional genealogist to research the Deboys family at present. This is being funded by a long lost cousin in America. It would be interesting to hear from you and how your research is going.

Samuel Ferguson Crymble was my great grandfather. I remember his funeral before we emigrated to Canada. Interesting, my parents also married in the church at Carnmoney.
I have a very early photo of Samual and Sarah, one of those old large sepia oval frame things, very dour.

I am so happy to hear from both of you, Hugh and Charles. I have only recently found a connection between CRYMBLE and DEBOYS in King's Moss / Kingsbog where my James DEBOYS was supposedly born in 1833. A James CRYMBLE was a genealogist and his children have his research and they have been very generous in providing me access to his research regarding DEBOYS. From what I can see so far, it looks like his DEBOYS line is an extremely good possibility to be from the same family .. probably mid-1700s.
Church records seem to be very difficult to come by especially cemetery / burial records if there was not a stone remaining when one of the books was researched. I think the DEBOYS I am researching are probably in the Church of the Holy Evangelist in Carnmoney, the church yard in Mallusk or possibly Ballyclare. If there is any additional information you could shed on the CRYMBLE family in the Carnmoney, King's Moss, Mallusk, Ballyclare area I would really appreciate it.

Re: DeBoys and Crymble in Northern Ireland
Hugh and Charles:
Do either of you have any contacts with any Deboys relatives still in Northern Ireland?
