My name is Renee Crymble Butchart & I was born in Northern Ireland. My father was Wesley Albert Crymble & my grandfather was Charles Crymble who was born in Carrickfergus! I immigrated to Canada in 1956 at 5 yrs. old.I know my grandfather had a sister called Annie but that is all I know of his family. I still have an uncle Charles in Belfast.

Surnames: Crymble, Crumbliss
I am a Crumbliss, but could easily be a Crymble. Our first ancestor in America, Thomas, came from Ireland. He fought in the Revoluntionary War for the Americans. He had two sons James & Hugh and a daughter Alice. They lived in Virginia and Tennessee. I have read some about the Crymbles and know they came from Antrim county N. Ireland. There is no history of Catholicism in our family. I can see where the "y" in Crymble could become a "u", which is then Crumble, which is not far from Crumbliss. At any rate, I have a cousin who wrote the family history and had it published, "The Crumblisses of Kingston", by Robert Lanier, retired judge, Memphis, TN. There may or maynot be a connection.

Hello I am John Hanna and Ialso live in Belfast. I am currently co-writing a book on the golfers of Queen's University Belfast to mark the 50th Anniversary of the QU Golfing Society.

P T Crymble was a prominent golfer I know at Royal County Down. I knew Barry at malone G C. We intend having something about both of them in the book. Perhaps you could give me some family history in relation to them. Thanks John

Sorry for butting in but I am researching Janet/Jean Elizabeth/Betty Logan, the wife of Hugh Crymble. I think her father was William Logan born about 1800. Would you happen to know who William's father was? or any of his brothers or sisters? or even any other children?

Many thanks

John Logan
