Trying to connect two Crydermans.

Trying to connect two Crydermans.

I have Elizabeth Cryderman b. abt 1856 in North Gwillimbury. She was the daughter of Silas Fletcher Cryderman b. 1829. She married Richard Willard King in 1874. Their last child was born in 1884.

I believe Richard then went on to marry/partner a Margaret Cryderman who was born 1870. I do not know if Cryderman was her maiden name, or if she was previously married. They had children born between 1897 & 1907.

I am pretty sure that Elizabeth and Margaret would have been related somehow, and would like to find the connection so I can identify Margarets parents. I am directly related to Margaret (my gr gr grandmother) so am desperate to try and link her in.

Any help gratefully received.

thanks

michelle

Pretty sure you have the marriage announcement for Richard King and Elizabeth Cryderman (010971-74 Richard W King 23, born Ontario, res. E. Gwillimbury, bachelor, farmer, s/o Joel and Hannah King, married Elizabeth Cryderman, 19, b. N. Gwillimbury, res. E. Gwillimbury, d/o Silas and Harriet (?) Cryderman, witn. Duncan King, Fanny Cryderman, both E. Gwill, Feb 11, 1874, Queensville E. Gwill).

Also, located a marriage record for the son of Richard King and Margaret Crydeman...19947 -24 Melville VIctor Howard, 23, farmer, Pt. Credit, Thorah Twp., s/o Henry Clarence Howard (b. Quebec) and Rachel Frances Vlower, married Florence Maud King, 19, domestic, N. York, Beaverton, d/o Richard Wm. King (b. Napanee) and Margaret Cryderman, Dec 23, 1924, Lindsay.

I have not been able to locate the marriage record for Margaret and Richard, or anything relating to Margaret's parentage. But I'll try to take another look.

Hope some of this helps, but you've probably already got it.
Maybe it will help someone else who is also looking!

Hi Michelle,
I haven't been on this Cryderman page before, but have been researching the Cryderman's and see your entry.
I have both Elizabeth b 1855 in N Gwill. and Margaret b 1870 both daughters of Silas Cryderman b 1827 and Matilda Crittenden. They, and their siblings and parents are on the Ontario census of North York taken in 1871 and 1881 (East Gwillimbury)
