I am looking for information on my ancestor Isaac Newton Cruce. I descend from his son Richard Cruce. Here is the information I have:
Isaac Newton Cruce (B circa 1710 Ireland)
I've heard of another Isaac Newton Cruce but it's not the same because that one was born later. Richard Cruce was born around 1735. So any information anyone could give about this Isaac Newton Cruce would be greatly appreciated. I would especially like to know who his wife was and who his parents, grandparents, etc., were.

Lindsay,
According to Priscilla Montgomery's "An Outline of Cruces," a Mr. Andrew Davidson, KLJ, FRSAI was hired to do research in Belfast, Ireland. Cruce records were found at St. Anne's Episcopal Church. An Isaac Cruse (____ - 1788) married Mary Caldwell, "most likely the father of Richard, Margaret, and Richard's brother Isaac, " (Priscilla added "Letitia" born in Belfast, married Sgt. David Brown in Spartanburgh District. SC.) Isaac Cruse was buried 26 March 1788 according to the St. Anne's records and Mr. Davidson's investigation. Other spellings of the name mentioned were Cruse, Cruice, Crews, and Cruys.

Isaac Newton Cruce from Ireland; His wife was Mary Caldwell, they married in 1745 in Belfast Antrim, Northern Ireland. Mary was born about 1710 in the same place. I believe the Isaac ( other) that you mention is Richard's son. Hope this helps some.

there is a geneaology report that was done in Ireland that shows Richard as being the son Isaac. Yet is also states teh records are confusing as in the same records it shows Richard being the son of Richard. I imagine you are seeking information regarding Isaac Cruc whom married Mary Caldwell in Ireland. That is the only information I have. No dates or anything. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
