I am looking for information about J. W. Crow. He was the second husband of Sarah Choat Fisher, and they were found on the 1870 Census for Wood County, TX. Sarah was first married to Elias James Fisher, and they had five children: Joseph (b. 1849), Seaburn (b. 1854), Mary (b. 1856), Elizabeth (b. 1859, and Naomi (b. 1864). Elias James probably died in the Civil War, and by 1870 Sarah is found married to J. W. Crow. They are living with Sarah's children from her first marriage, along with David (age 3) and Daniel (age 1) - born to their current marriage. J. W. Crow is age 50, works at a st. mill, and says he was born in S. C. In 1880, J. W. and Sarah are found living in Upsher County, TX, along with their own two sons, David and Daniel. J. W., on this census. is now a farmer. I think it is a fair assumption that J. W. Crow had most probably been married before he married Sarah, since he would have been in his mid-forties when they married. Does anyone out there know anything about this J. W. Crow???
