Posted: 27 Nov 2009 3:35PM GMT
Classification: Biography
Surnames: Crouch
From the 11 Nov 1903 issue of the Kinston Free Press newspaper of Kinston, Lenoir County, North Carolina.

Charlotte Observer: L.C. CROUCH, the Winston man who was bitten by the rattlesnake during the fair, has grown strong enough to leave the Presbyterian Hospital. He seems little worse for his terrible experience, though he does occasionally complain of feeling achey inside himself. It was found necessary to amputate one joint of the finger on his left hand, which had been struck by the fangs of the rattler, but Couch said he didn't mind this casualty to any great extent. He says he will continue his profession of handling snakes for a living.
