I have some information on the Croarkins from Dunraymond Ireland. Bernard born 1772 in Dunraymond. He and his wife had John Croarkin dob 1805 who married Ellen Murphy. They lived and are burried on Prince Edward Is. At some point the name Croarkin was changed to Croken. Other names to consider are Joseph Patrick, Maria Angela dob 12-16-1870, Kathrine (Kate), Mary Ellen dob 12-28-1865. If these names are familure let me know!
Bernard was my gggggrandfather, John my ggggrandfather.
Would love to hear from relatives.

We are related. I come down the Bernard/John/Patric/Edward Croken line. Edward was my grandmother's (still living at 95!) father.

Lets talk!

Just to confirm my e-mail sent direct...my lines start with Bernard Croarkin, with 3 sons Patrick, Bernard b. 1802 and your John b. 1805. I have no wife for Bernard. Is Dunraymond located in Cty. Monaghan?

The place of birth for Bernard is Dunraymond, Co. Monaghan, Ireland
Not being familure with Ireland I assume it to be Monaghan county state of Dunraymond.
What do you think?

Dunraymond is not on the map of County Monaghan, so I suspect it is a Parish in the County.

Hi Linda,

I am a Croarkin indeed. I started a web site for the Croarkin name @ Croarkin.com. I have already added a lot to the Genealogy site which can be accessed from Croarkin.com. Any information you can provide would be helpful. Please take a look at Croarkin.com and let me know if you think you have some information that would be pertinent. As far as the Genealogy is concerned, the easiest way to add is by importing it if you have it in GEDCOM format.

Are you a Croarkin?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

While my last name is not Croarkin, I am related.
I went to Croarkin.com and could not find any information.
What information do you have?
Oh yes, I registered and someone else had used my screen name to register.

Hello Linda,

You should be able to access the Family Tree section now. I had to change some of your permissions. As a security precaution, all new users only get minimal access. Give it a try and let me know if you have any more issues.

Thanks,
Patrick
