The information which I have for the Croake family is regarding a Bridge (Croake) O'Brien. Burial date is January 28, 1942 at St. Peter's Cemetery. She is buried in the family lot of Edward Clancy. The O'Brien family were somehow related to the Clancy's. (I haven't made the connection as of yet). In addition, there are many Cox's in this lot as well.

Hello,
I think we might be researching the same family. The Anna Croake was a Clancy before she married. I do not think she is
buried with her husband, Patrick Croake.
A grand-daughter, Catherine Croake, married a William Cox and she died in 1913.
Have a good day.

I grew up in Wisconsin and hope that someone on this message board will recognize some of my information(very little) and help me to add to it.

My grgr-grandmother Mary Croake/Croke/or possibly Cooke married a Thomas Laffin in Nova Scotia or NewBrunswick in about 1850. They settled in WI and had children.
James M., Mary Ann, Joanna, Anna, William,John and Thomas. Census info states that James M was born in New Brunswick, the others were born in Columbia Co. WI Thomas (the father) drowned in the river near their property. 2nd Mary met and married Patrick Ryan - who may have been much younger than she. They added 4 daughters to the family and I descend from one of the daughters.

Hoping you will see something that could either connect to your family, or to a family you are aware of. Thanks, Jill

My ggrandfather was Thomas Croake and his father was John Croake. Found in the 1880 NYC census in the Riverdale section. I think they came from Tipperary. Any connection? Thank you.
