Croak or Croke in Wisconsin
My grgr-grandmother MaryAnn Croke and husband Thomas Laffan were first shown in Wisconsin in the 1850 Fed Census. She was born c1828 and he c1820. They were living in Scott Twp, Columbia Co w/children James b.1847 and Mary b.1849 or 50. They moved to Newport Twp still in Columbia Co and had 5 more children Joanna, Anna, William, John, and Thomas.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who could help me to connect this couple to other siblings or parents.

Re: Croak or Croke in Wisconsin
The maiden name of Mary Ann is a mystery to me.
CROOK CROAK STACHA-BROOK STACHBROOK ????????
Was her maiden name Brook? Crook? Croak? Or were thes the names of her previous spouse? [prior to her marriage to Patrick Farrell]
Have you and ideas on the pedigree of Mary Ann?
I descend from Margaret Farrell & John M. Kelley. After John died in 1892, Margaret remarried and moved to Denver. Vincent was about 14 years old when he moved to Denver with his mother----he moved to Omaha Nebraska in 1920 with his wife and three children.
Terence Kelley in Omaha

Re: Croak or Croke in Wisconsin
Hello Marybethe Does your family pedigree go back to Janesville Wisconsin ? Patrick Farrell married Mary Ann Croak and their children lived in Janesville. They had a son, Patrick Jr.
I believe that Mary Ann was born in Ireland abt 1801.
