Zoe Croad - Please re-contact me
Zoe, Your message to my freeserve address corrupted, so I cannot reply & don't have your email address. I don't know if our two families in Portsea are connected, but it does seem highly likely. Would be happy to send you a copy of my Croad tree. Your message said you found my details here, so hopefully you'll pick this up. Please note: now using aol. regards, Andrew

Re: Zoe Croad - Please re-contact me
Hi Andrew - rather a late response to your message on Rootsweb, but what's two and a half years in genealogical time?! I'm a bit of an intermittent Croad family researcher these days, having got stuck somewhere around 1750 in Puddletown, Dorset. I suspect my earlier message was wondering if you had any info that might help me. I wrote about my family's building business in Portsea for a research study I did for a post-grad. diploma in English Local History twenty something years ago, but would be happy to dig out the information again if any of it would be useful to you (you may have all this already?). (Very!) belated best wishes, Zoe Croad.

Re: Zoe Croad - Please re-contact me
Hi Zoe
We are cousins. I read your research study on the Croad family at the Portsmouth City Archives which included rerences G grandfather John and his brothers Alfred and William. Very intersteting and helped me break through the late 1700's but have not managed to find a birth or death date for Charles, father of Thomas Croad. Do you have any more information on them or earlier? I have slowly been trawling parish records around Dortchester and Puddletown but not got anywhere yet! If you can let me have any deatils of your side of the family from William /Alfred to date that would also be great. my e:mail is - njoc at aol dot com
Regards Nigel Croad
