I am after any information on my Grandfather Fredric William Cribb, born on 18th April 1900 in Tamaranui New Zealand. He was born to Fredric william Cribb and Papara Cribb (nee Toi). I would like some help in tracing my whakapapa and also some history of great grandad Fred. He was born in Lymington England about 1855 to John Hadfield Cribb and Annie Francis Cribb (nee Stephens). Any help would be appreciated.

Kia Ora Lorena, I am a great grandson of frederick cribb and Paparia toi. Your grandfather and my grandfather were brothers. I dont know a huge amount about our whakapapa but there is a person in raetihi by the name of boy and his wife grace cribb who knows more. i dont know their contact details. There is a monument erected at Tieke marae (down the whanganui river by pipiriki) in memory of Frederick cribb. I know that he had three wives and 24 children. Paparia toi was his second wife i believe. I believe we whakapapa to tieke marae, the iwi is whanganui i am not sure what the hapu name is though. If you search for me on facebook (Gordon Ham) and become friends you can view photographs of frederick and paparia. We still have great uncles and aunts alive in Taumarunui today (i.e. the children of frederick). Gordon Cribb lives in taumarunui and is a child of frederick and his last wife whos name escapes me. he is in his 90's and is as fit as a fiddle. we have very long lived genetics. I beleive that Maude Reynolds is still alive too, she is gordon's sister, she is older than him. Maude and her family have a lot of history about our family, i havent been to see them yet myself though.
