My name is Walter T. Crean and I am doing research on the Creans who came over from County Cork, Ireland in 1867. The information placed here is what my Uncle Lenny Crean found himself. Our ancestor was DENNIS CREAN (1780?-?1850)
who married Hannah [mnu] around 1809 and had a son, CORNELIUS CREAN (1810?-1876). He, in turn, married Catherine Sullivan (1820-1890) in 1836 and had seven children: DENNIS M. CREAN (1846-1887), John J. Crean (1849-1910), Jeremiah J. Crean (1857-1890), Julia Crean (1859-????), Mary J. Crean (1860-1896), Johanna Crean (1863-1949), and Catherine J. Crean (1865-1891). Dennis, in turn, married Ellen Freeman (1847-1916) in 1868 and had seven children: Cornelius J. Crean (1869-1942), Harriet F. Crean (1870-????), DENNIS M. CREAN JR. (1872-1954), Michael Crean (1873-1881), Catherine G. Crean (1875-????), Mary E. Crean (1876-????), and Julia Crean (1878-1880). His son, Dennis Jr., married Margaret R. Mulcahy (1876-1950) and had eight children: Dennis V. Crean (1904-1983), James Crean (his twin; 1904-1904), Mary M. Crean (1906-1920), WALTER F. CREAN (1908-1995), Catherine H. Crean (1910-1983), Charles C. Crean (1912-1962), Ellen M. Crean (1916-1981), and
Arthur R. Crean (1923-????). Walter F. Crean, in turn, married Dorothy M. McDonough (1920-1972) in 1941 and had three sons: WALTER F. CREAN JR. (born 1942), Leonard W. Crean (born 1947), and Thomas M. Crean (born 1952). Walter F. Jr., in turn, married twice, first to Sandra L. Swiderski (born 1944) in 1965 and had two children, WALTER T. CREAN (born 1966) and Cathleen M. Crean (born 1968)[they divorced between 1970-1972] and second to Nancy J. Hern (born 1943). The capitalized names are those of my ancestors. Any and all information that can be found out about the first three generations would be greatly appreciated and can be emailed to my Yahoo address,
