Surnames: Creagh,

I hope you are still on this site. My husband is Edgar W. Creagh and is also related to the same line as you. We have been researching them for about 4yrs now. His ggrandfather lived in Suggsville Al. He was Gerard Wathall Creagh Jr. married to Matti M Primm. We would like to compare notes if your still active.

Kevin, Enjoyed reading the variations on the Creagh name. My husband is also Kevin. We spell it Cray. We are from County Clare and are catholic. Andrew married Nellie and came to this country in mid 1800's and settled in Oswego NY. They had a son Charles and maybe Andrew. Charles married Maggie Quigley and then Mary Cunniff. Later moved to Buffalo NY. Can you add anything to this?

Surnames: Creagh. Lipinsky, Ainslie
Am trying to trace my grandfather Alexander Creagh, born 1880 in Derby (Supposedly.) All avenues have failed to trace him before he came to Australia. Parents named as Alexander Creagh & Rebecca Lipinsky. Is there any connection with your Creagh? He had 5 children with Isabella Ainslie. Many thanks .

Sorry, don't think there is a connection. As far as I can see my line of Creaghs stayed in and around the London area. There was a branch that moved to Austrailia, but he was Sidney Creagh. I'll have an ask around the other Creagh's I am in touch with, but the name Alexander does not ring any bells.

Good luck.

Alison

Hi! My husband is a descendent of Rebecca Clara Ann Creagh daughter of Gerard Walthal Creagh and Eliza Ann Davis. She married Thomas Sterling Falconer.

We recently took a trip to Alabama and Mississippi. While there we visited the cemeteries of the Creagh Clan in both Suggsville and the Catherine area.

The Suggsville cemetery where Gerard Walthall Creagh and some of his famiy are buried is very well cared for: but the Creagh Cemetery in Wilcox County, Alabama is in need of a good cleaning. We were able to find the graves of Thomas B. Creagh, his three fives and several sons and some of their wives and children.

My mother-in=law and her twin sister were pleased that so much history was available to them.
