My husband's (his name is John) family (Creagh) came from England after the American Revolution. My husband's great great grandfather (John) 'fathered' 23 children. I know the first half of the family stayed in Europe but the second half moved to North America. My husband's father was James, his father Stanley, and his father was John.

Checking out the family tree has been an interest to me, but I haven't done any research. It amazes me how many people with the Creagh last name live in the United States.

Hi Gloria,

I think we have the same John Creagh who fathered 23 children in common. According to the research I've done so far, John Kerin Creagh had a son named Stanley Gordon Creagh, who married Amy White Creagh, and had a son named James. They married in Michigan but then moved to Illinois.

John Creagh is also my husband's great great grandfather. We have recently come into contact with another one of John's son's family - Alfred Creagh.

I would love to touch base with you and possibly share some info.

Thanks!
Alma

John Kerin Creagh was my husband's Great Grandfather. His grandmother Theodora Matilda, from John's second marriage, was my husband's Grandmother. I have info about John Kerin's two marriages (including Stanley from the second marriage)and a total of 17 children but there may be more. If you don't have this info and would like it please let me know.
