Looking for info on William Anthony Creagh, born Jan. 31, 1939 in NY. Married Judith Traendly approx. 1961, divorced in 70's. Mr. Creagh's last known residence was in Florida. His son, Tancred Annthony Creagh, is my daughter's father. I would like to put together family tree for her dad's side of family. Any info appreciated. Please contact me by email.

The spelling of Creagh is so very important, This spelling of Creagh would appear to be an Irish version, I have found a dead end when I get to the name Creagh because it is so very un-common, what I can tell you, is I have traced this name to Cork, Limerick and Clonmel in Tipperary Ireland. I hope this is of some value to you.

There are certainly a lot of coincidences here. My great grandmother was Hannorah Creagh, married James O'Mara after arrival in Chicago between 1860-1869, and settled in Western New York (after residing in Chicago in the 1870's. Her brother James' wife has Hannah. And she had a brother William as well -- don't know his wife's name. However, William and James both resided in Breckenridge TX. William had a daughter Joella (m. Bell), and a son (name unknown but was a movie star of sorts back in the early 1900's and went by the name Edmond Robey). Wonder if there is a connection here.

Here is a response from my dad, it maybe just one of those strange things. Honnora was a Griffin married to william Creagh He died 1888, her in 1889. hannah was a sister of Mercy in Buffalo, NY died in 1926. there are a hundred persons with these names so it is hard to follow. easy to to get lost

Thank you so much for your quick response. Now I'm very interested in the "Hannah" who was a Sister of Mercy in Buffalo,NY. Was that "Hannah" a Creagh? My grandmother's godmother was a nun (Sister Amelia). We have a picture of her but no other information. Thanks again.
