I am searching for information about grandfather, Thomas Creagan's brothers and sisters. Thomas was born in Country Clare, and the Clare Heritage Centre in Corofin has provided my with the following information.
Thomas was born in Parich of Kilmurry McMahon/Labasheeda, County Clare. His parents were Patrick Creagan (Crehan) and his mother was Anna Madigan, married in 1857, and the following list are his brothers and sisters: Anne - 1860; Michael - 1862; Mary - 1863; Ellen - 1864; John - 1867; Patrick - 1870; Bridget - 1871; Mary - 1872; Mary - 1877.
We know that John lived in or around Birminham, New York in the late 1940's. We haven't found out anything else, however. Nor have we been able to find any of the other brothers or sisters.
Thomas was born in or around 1878, and died in Rochester, New York in 1937. We believe Thomas and the family moved to the USA around 1886.

I do not find a "Birminham" in New York State; perhaps BINGHAMTON in Broome County NY? This city abuts the northeast corner of Pennsylvania. The City of Rochester in in Monroe County NY. Perhaps posting in these counties might give you a lead, especially with the possible spellings of Creagan, Crehan, Creagen, Creagan etc. Good Luck

I just came across this post you put up back in 2000 and was wondering if you are still reachable. I have some information about Mary Cregan, my grandmother, who lived in Binghamton, NY and was married to my grandfather, John H. Minehan. She died in 1921 and her death certificate lists her parents as Patrick Cregan and Anna Mangan, both from Co. Clare. This sounds like it could be the same family you are looking for.

Please respond to this if you're monitoring and I can go into more detail.
