Sarah Murphy and ? Creagan married in Ireland and had a daughter Rose Creagan, born 02 Feb 1851. Rose married Dennis Ward in Ireland. They had seven children, the first two we believe were born in Ireland;Ellen born around 1872 and Dennis born around 1876. Dennis and Rose are my great-grandparents. They emmigrated to Buffalo, NY, USA and gave birth to my grandmother Mary Elizabeth Ward on 27 Apr 1879 and then had James, Margaret, John, and Robert. Dennis Ward was gored by a bull and died 13 Sep 1893 and Rose died 05 Sep 1915 in Buffalo, NY. Looking for any information on births, marriages, deaths, siblings.

Dear Brian,

Below is part of what I have on Rose Creagan and Dennis Ward. As I told you at Shirley McCormick's wake, Patricia McCormick Morrisey & I will cooperate in sharing whatever records we have. I have copies of the Ward children's Scotland birth certificates, if you want them. I have no record showing Rose Ann Creagan/Craigan/Cregon Ward's specific birth date or her mother's name. Do you remember your source for this? Thanks much, Gerard Morrisey, Albion NY.

Gerard,
Rose Ward's death (Sep 5, 1915) certificate showed Sarah Murphy and unknown Creagan as her parents and Feb 2, 1851 as her date of birth. Information was given by Mary McCormick, 115 Fleming St. Her obituary showed Ann McCracken as her sister (Buffalo Daily Courier on Sept 6, 1915.
