I am looking for a Joseph Cranston/Cranstoun - perhaps from Northern Ireland. He immigrated to Montreal, Quebec Province, Canada by 1848 and was a carpenter. He had a son named Daniel James Cranston born in Montreal in September 1848.
A Joseph Cranstoun listed in the 1848 Montreal Directory. Joseph Cranstoun was only listed in 1848, pg. 64 (not listed in 1847) - he is a carpenter & lived at 52 St-Maurice St. (St. Antoinne Ward) - the dividing street in Montreal for East/West is St-Laurent St. - this Joseph is not found in subsequent years.
