Ida had a sister Maude b. 1878 and a brother John b. 1879. However, this is where confusion sets in, on the 1880 TN census Molly is called Mary West she is single and 20 with 3 kids Ida, Maude, John West. They are living with Asa Crandall age 65 and his wife Mary age 58 and son Newton W. Crandall who is a gunsmith in Lenoir City, Loudon Co., TN. Molly is listed as Asa's neice. We suspect Newton is the father of Molly's kids, but have been unable to find proof of marriage. If anyone can make sense of this mixed up family your help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.
