Shirley, I don't have any dates at all for Blanche Margaret Crable. The only info I have is that Blanche Margaret Crable from Allegheny Cty., PA, married Carver Wilson McGaughey. They had more than 2 children I believe. They had a son born in around 1912 and a daughter, Mary.
Thanks.

Re: Crable's Scotland>Ohio>Pa>Md
Hello Shirley, I'm tracing my 1/2-sister's family. Her Great-grandfather was FRANK CRABLE, born about 1871 in Ohio. There were many Crables in Pickaway County, Ohio. Do you have any further information on the FRANK P. CRABLE in your family tree? This Frank Crable was married to Roxie Unknown and had these children: 1. Katie Crable b. about 1897 2. Forrest Crable b. about 1903 3. Emma Crable b. about 1905 4. Arthur Edgar Crable b. 01 Mar 1908 5. George Crable b. about 1910 I would appreciate any additional information. Thank you. Re: Crable's Scotland>Ohio>Pa>Md
Hello Marsha, Franklin (Frank) P. Crable born in Ohio/Pa. 1855 died 1918 in Md. He married 1. Jennie Schaffer in Pa. They had Sherman George (my line) b. Oct 27, 1874. Harry S. b. July 1880. Vernon b. June 1883 and Saddie. Jennie died, probably after having Saddie. Frank moved to Alleganey Co. Md. with the children. There he married 2. Alice J Smith. They had Frank Jr. b. bet 1880-91. Bessie b. bet. 1895-96. Rose V. b. Feb. 25, 1897. Ollie b. 1901. It doesn't look like your Frank and my Frank are the same but I know any data is important even if just used to "rule out". According to a census record I looked at, Frank's father was born in Scotland. I have yet to id him. If you think you have some information I can use I would love to have it. You can email me directly at sbduke@gte.netLike to keep in touch, who knows, we might be able to help each other. Shirley Duke

Re: Crable's Scotland>Ohio>Pa>Md
Many thanks for the information. I've just begun to work on my sister's ancestry and it is a whole new ballgame for me. I've worked on my dad's line for over 30 years and know it intimately. This is kind of fun to take on an entirely new line that I'm not familiar with. I'll keep in touch as I work backward on these Ohio Crables. :)

Re: Crables of Allegheny County, PA
I am looking for Margaret CRABLE. I suspect she was born in PA. She married Arthur PRATT, of Fayette Co., PA. My records (although often inaccurate) say she was born 8 Apr 1821, and died 7 Aug 1899. Any clues? Brenda

Re: Crable's Scotland>Ohio>Pa>Md
RE Sneed
My search is for a Charles Sneed who married Ann Pemberton. Ann was the sister of Isaiah Pemberton and George Pemberton (1717ABT to 1827) of King Williams Parish, VA (presentday Berkley Sp., WV) who both sold their lands in 1770 and moved their families to SC, Newberry District. Did their sister marry before or after their father's death in 1757? Did she marry in VA?

Re Crable is not scottish it is austrian early 1600s there are crables that have migrated to scotland and england but ship records show that this name is from Krehbiel,Grable,Kraybill, and last the oldest version Krahenbuhl! Switzerland! leaving ports in amsterdam with names like Hans Erik Crable aboard the ship "molly" 1720s! persecuted mennonites from Canton Bern or Zaziwil! many of them settled in PA.
