Hi Jolene! I haven't seen you in years! We will have to get together the next time I'm in Virginia!
You can find Grandma and Grandpa's family tree in several places. First off you should be able to find it here at
www.ancestry.com. Also I have a site
www.geocities.com/worldkrahenbuhl and you can download a GEDCOM of our family tree, if you have a program that you can import the GEDCOM into.
I have a couple of pictures of George Dallas that I'm pretty sure I scanned into my computer. Send me an e-mail at
patrick.mead@comcast.net and I'll send you the files. If I don't have them, my dad has the originals and maybe he could make a color copy for you. If it turns out I don't have them I can give you his number when I e-mail you back.
When you think hard about it, Grandpa's story is a pretty sad one. Mom died, he got passed off to his grandparents and barely saw his dad for the rest of his growing up years. And his sister and brother were passed off to aunts. I wonder why George Dallas didn't get the kids back when he remarried and started another family.
Well, gotta go, time for the morning routine.
