My father was Marshall Wilson Crabill born January 28, 1922 and died January 18, 1972. He married Pearl MArie Presley. Once my father died we lost track of the Crabill family and my mother passed away in 1998 taking all the know data with her. I have enclosed all the information I know in this email.
I found an obituary for Arlen Nathaniel Crabill, Sr. in my mother's photo album. He died March 11, 1975 at Charlottesville University Hospital. He was survived by his wife Lottie Crabill, three daughters, Mrs. Frances Crabill Kilby, Mrs. Evelyn Crabill Beavers, and Mrs. Marie Crabill Griner, two sons, David and Arlen Crabill Jr., 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. His funeral was at Baker Funeral Home, Manassas and buried on March 14 at Stonewall Memory Gardens Cemetary.
I also found an obit for Evelyn Crabill Beavers, Evelyn Crabill Beavers, 75, of Bristow, VA died at Birmingham Green, Manassas, VA on June 2, 1994. Survivors include husband of 55 years James S. Beavers; her son, Richard L. Beavers of Upper Marlboro, MD. daughters Jean Ratliff and Gracie Pollack, both of Manassas. Brothers Arlen Crabill, Jr. of Fredericksburg, and Bobby Crabill of Massachusetts, sisters Frances Kilby, of Lakeridge and Marie Dillon, of Oklahoma. She was buried in St. Benedict Monastery Chapel cememtary, 9535 Linton Hall Road. Arrangements by Lee Funeral home on Sudley rd.
I found a picture dated October 13, 1963 saying Pearl and Marshall Crabill visiting K.O., Bryant and Jan in Lido Beach Sarasote, FL family pic. I dont know if they Crabill's or not.

What year was Charles Crabill born and who were his parents? Did they migrate to Champaign County, Ohio? I'm tracing the family of Jacob Reedy, b. abt. 1801 in Virginia. He was a cooper in Tom's Brooke, Shenandoah Co., Virginia, between 1850 and 1870 (from census and family history). We believed Jacob's wife was Elizabeth Good, but I finally found a death record for Jacob's son John H. Reedy, b. 04 December 1831, Tom's Brooke or near Woodstock (from Civil War Pension papers) that gives John H. Reedy's mother as Eliz. Crabill.Death Champaign Co., Ohio, 1912. Can someone who does Crabill genealogy verify this marriage one way or the other? I do not find a marriage in the Shenandoah Co. marriages online. I see the Charles Crabill you are tracing has Luther for a middle name. The son of John Reedy that gave the information on the death record was Luther Ashby Reedy, b. 23 April 1864, Woodstock, Virginia. Thanks for any help. We are stuck at this point until I can verify the marriage of Jacob Reedy, find parents for the couple and any death records for Jacob and wife. Marie Reedy

Marie, I am John H. Reedy's great-great granddaughter. On my Reedy Family Tree, I have posted a photo of Luther Ashby Reedy's obituary. The newspaper clipping was in my grandmother's photo album (wife of John Clarence Reedy, Luther Ashby's son).
John's and Susannah's grave marker is located in the Mutual Cemetery in Ohio and I am going there tomorrow to get measurements for a replacement stone. Their's is "melting" and I am going to have a small granite marker with their names and dates installed in front of their original marker. Also, I am trying to find records of John's service in the Civil War to get a VA plaque attached to the grave marker. If you have anything or know where I can search, please let me know. While I am there tomorrow, I will look for your Charles Crabill. If he did migrate to Champaign County, Ohio, he may also be buried there as the Mutual Cemetery was the only one in existence in the early days. I'll check his dates and spouse if he's there.
If you have any more information on Crabill's, let me know. There is an historic house here at the edge of town called the Crabill house. My father was involved in restoring it. The Crabill family were early settlers and lived there with their numerous children. It is an amazing old house. It would be exciting if that family is the one you are checking.
Hope you get this and if there is anyone else you would like me to look for at the cemetery, please contact me ASAP. I'll check the email before I leave tomorrow afternoon.

Don't know if these Crabill's are related but here is a website telling about the Crabill House in Ohio: http://www.springfieldohio.net/articles/results.php?file=cra... And here is a little information on the Crabill's in Ohio: David Crabill and his wife Barbara Baer Crabill arrived from Virginia into Clark County Ohio in 1813 by Conestoga wagon. They worked on a farm owned by two brothers until they had enough money to purchase their land. Over the years, they had 12 children and David served as a sergeant in the War of 1812.
