I am tracing my cousin's Crabbe ancestry. William Augustus Crabb and his brother Thomas Crabb came from Ireland to America just before the Rev. War, according to the Kendig Family History. Some of my family believe they actually originated in Cornwall County, England and this goes back to 1620. Does anyone know how this connects?
This is my cousin's Crabbe descendancy:
1. William Augustus Crabb, born 1744 in County Clare, Ireland married Elizabeth Kendig. They had 5 children born in old Lancaster County, Pennsylvania or Dauphin County: Horatio Nelson,Henry Selden, George W.,Mary, and H.Louisa.
2. Horatio Nelson Crabb, born 1801 married Rebecca Ord Karrick. They had 6 children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania except for the last son in Washington,D.C.: Allen Howard,Horace Nelson, Horace Gates,Mary Alice,Deorsey, and Clarence George.
3. Horace Gates Crabb or Crabbe(the e was added) born 2 March 1830 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania married Elizabeth Meek. They had 4 children all born in Honoulu, Oahu, Hawai'i:John Meek,Clarence Linden,Horatio Nelson, and Rebecca Lydia.
4. Clarence Linden Crabbe, born 1 Apr 1861 in Honolulu,Oahu,Hawai'i married Emma Longstreet Rich in Palisade,Eureka, Nevada and they had 2 sons born there: Edward Clinton Simmons Crabbe and a son that died before the age of 2 in 1884.
5. Edward Clinton Simmons Crabbe, born 30 Aug 1882 in Palisade,Eureka,Nevada married Agnes Lucy McNamara and they had 2 sons born in Oakland and Berkeley,Alameda,California
respectively: Clarence Linden and Edward Clinton Simmons,Junior.
I have the complete family information on each of these on the descendancy above and if anyone is family and needs the information I would be glad to share it. My problem is to get across the pond, so to speak. Thank you.
