Hello again nick, found out some more details not sure if this will help you as it seems my COZENS came from kent…
Grandad - norman Patrick cozens Grandmother - Christine (have a pic from the 50s with my mum)… Lived in carter st Gillingham, they had four children, Christine, rosie, leonard born 1933(my dad), and another I don’t know the name of, they were taken into care bernardos, then grandparents had a further 7 children, robert, victor, Raymond, don’t know the others names…I think all but victor was also taken into care…
My day was fostered to a lady in eden road Walthamstow so it seems my COZENS have only been here since late 40s early 50s…he and my mum married in 1954 then he left home in 1966 I saw him about three times between then and when he moved to Leytonstone 1973ish with a lady called dolly I think remarried and moved on from there not seen or heard of since…and that’s all I know…
Good luck with your search

Hallo Terry,
Thanks for the extra information; however, unfortunately I don't seem to be related to any Cozens from the Kent area. None of those names ring any bells I'm afraid.
My lot were all from around Islington, Walthamstow etc. Curiously enough, my Great Great Grandfather, John COZENS,and a couple of his children, lived in Eden Road, Walthamstow back in the 1890's, as well as Palmerston Road and Marsh Street. Small world !
If you don't know it, to help you with your researches, I would highly recommend you try a website called: RootsChat.com, which has the merit of being entirely free, has many highly knowledgeable members, and has helped me enormously in advancing my own searches. All you need to do is register, post a message on the appropriate board (everything is explained clearly) and you could get some very helpful answers. Give it a try.
Best wishes,
Nick

Good afternoon,
Many thanks for your message re the Cozens family. I have a great deal of information about Arthur William + siblings and also previous generations back into the 17th century. Too much to detail here.
George John COZENS was Arthur William's father in fact. My own grandfather, born Hoxton 1885, was a younger brother of Athur William.
I suggest we contact each other separately. Are you OK with that ?
Best wishes,
Nick
