Can anyone explain the marriage of Henry Coy to Winnie Warmoth on 23 Jan 1834 in Howard Co, MO. I have NOT seen the record but surely some Coy researcher has.

At rootsweb, Henry Coy is shown as married to Elizabeth Mason in 1834. No exact date or place has ever been posted that I see. Does any Coy researcher have the marriage record?

I have seen at rootsweb that Winnie Warmoth and Elizabeth Mason are the same person. Hard to believe.

Perhaps there were two Henry Coys? Or perhaps Winnie Warmoth died right away and Henry Coy re-married right away?

"Winnie" is a nickname for Winnifred. So I am thinking the Winnie Warmoth might have been a brother to Gathings Warmoth and a daughter to Thaddeus Warmoth and Winnifred Unknown, but this is PURE SPECULATION.

Can some Coy researcher straighten this out?
