I recently found the application papers for "Pension for ex-Confederate Soldiers" for Tandy Coy (of Franklin, Howard Co. MO in 1915 -- then 80 years old; enlisted Keytesville, MO 1861). It is mis-filed (at least on the microfilm I was examining, supposedly in alphabetical order) between the papers for my gggrandfather and his brother -- Joel P. Hulls (sic) and William F. Hulse. If you are looking for the information, that's where to find it!
Good luck.

I would like info on Tandy Coy, He is my GGG Grandfather if he is the father of GG Grandfather George Washington Coy born in Chariton county Mo in 1860. This Tandy returned to Madison County KY to repurchase the family farm.

I show this Tandy Coy as my GGG Grandfather, who fathered GG grandfather George Washington Coy in 1860 in Chariton county MO. I also have an Eliza anderson as the spouse, but have no other data on her. This Tandy supposedly returned from Howard county MO to Madison county KY to reclaim the family farm.

You have your Tandy's mixed up. The Tandy that returned to Ky was married to a Mary. He was the son of Samuel and Francis Page Coy. Samuel had a son John Coy who also had a Tandy born 1838 in Mo. He was married to Elizabeth Anderson. This Tandy died in Mo. Francis Page had a brother named Tandy. It was her mothers maiden name. I have Samuel's will and it names Mary as the wife of Tandy Coy 1.

glo - You seem to have some info on Samuel and Francis Page Coy. Do you have a list of their children which includes a Lucinda b. 1813-14? Lucinda married a Henry Whorton. You say you have a copy of Samuel's will. Does it list Samuel's children? Any help appreciated. cakemp@yahoo.com
