I just read your posting (from about 2 years ago!) about Pliny Cox & William Mason Lasure. Although I cannot answer your question (which by now you may have anyway), I can tell you that we are cousins.

My records show Pliny as aka Pearlina. Her maiden name was Perkins.

Your grandfather, Charles was my great uncle. Charles' brother John was my grandfather, and William Mason Lasure was my great grandfather. My mother is Sylvia Lasure-Shuster. She never married my father, & I was adopted out as a baby. I have a sister & two brothers also from Sylvia. There may be others too.

I would like additional info from you re our family & I'll be happy to share whatever info I have with you. We are kin, & I'd like to get to know you.

Iam the daughter of Nellie Lasure and Aaron M Stewart. I was born in Bell co Ky 7-6-1938 I have a sister Ann Stewart Maynard and a brother Aaron Stewart,Jr. My mom is Nellie Lasure b/8-4-1916 in Knox Co Ky. She is still living and in good health. I lived most of my life in Chicago Il. We came to Ky about five years for a quieter way of life. I have four children two girls two boys. Leo I have some old family photos of the older relatives and I would like to e-mail you some of them. Please e-mail me directly as I have a lot of family history to tell you. Hi, I'm another cousin. We seem to be coming out of the wood work. I was checking for my father's family and came across Mom's instead. One of Pliny's and William's daughters was Lizzie and she was my grandmother. Uncle Charlie dies several years ago at the age of 102. I have 2 aunts and 2 uncles still living as well as my mom, they are grandchildren of Pearlina and William. Mom talks fondly of "Grandpa". Pliny and William were my grandparents. Jesse was my father. I remember Charlie, Harmon, Fannie and Lizzie slightly as I was about 8 when I last saw them on Breastwork Hill. Jesse married Lorene J. Walls in 1929 and they had four children--Imogene, Douglas Farrell, Donald Carroll and Carolyn Sue. I believe Lizzie came to visit us in the 50's. I remember several of Harmon's children. Pearl, A.J., J.T., Charlie, I believe there was a C.J. as well.
