TO ALL THE COVARRUBIAS FROM JALISCO!!!

Hello Everybody:

To all of you who are Covarrubias from Jalisco, especially Autlán, El Grullo, Guadalajara, Ejutla, Tuxcacuesco, etc., my Covarrubias are from Jalisco, especially the places I mentioned above. I have been able to trace them back to the early 1600's. I have two or three lines that are incomplete and I think one of you or all of you might very well connect to the ones that I have. Once we connect them we can go back to the ones that I have in the 1600's. Anyone interested in working with me on this, email me at penaperezplazola@hotmail.com.

I'm also related to these families:

Michel, Monroy (Monroy-Pizarro), Pérez (Pérez de Alencastro), Corona, Cueva, Sánchez (Sánchez-Ronquillo), Martínez, Plazola, Guerrero, González, Cobián, Horta, Madrueño, Avila, Vázquez, García (García de Alba), Covarrubias, Fonseca, Ortega, Ramírez de Prado, de la Cueva, Velasco y Zúñiga, Medina, De la Peña, López-Bueso-Sánchez-Cabesuelas, Ruelas, Bracamontes, Gómez-García, Contreras, Del Castillo, Zepeda, Robles, Díaz-Infante, Rosas, Pimienta, Preciado, Guereña, DeLoux, Corones, Rodríguez-Santana, Hernández, Aguilar, Mojica, Rubio.

If anybody has information on any of these families, email me. There's a good chance we're related somehow. My email address is: penaperezplazola@hotmail.com.

Hi! I'm from the Covarrubias-Nuño family. We are from Tonala, Jalisco. And the only related name that I recall is Veliz. By the way, Tonala is located 15 mins east of Guadalajara.

Hello Guadalupe!!

What other last names do you have in your family? If you are from Tonala, you are probably also a Michel... do you know if you are? Let me know what other last names do you have so we can make a connection.

Greetings,

Hello Monica:

I suggest that you go to www.familysearch.org. I can also help you with some of the researching if you tell me more about your branch of the family. Do you have in your family a priest that was persecuted during the religious war in Mexico between 1926-1929?

Hi Alfredo,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I honestly do not know if in the family there was a priest. I just came back from Mexico, from visiting my grandfather Jose Santana who is in very delicate condition. He does not speak anymore. (He is my real father's father whom I have not seen in 12 year, but now have some contacts, and hope to surprise on father's day) During my visit my abuelito has a book that he read over and over "Anoransas de Ejutla", as I started reading it, I became curious about my ancestry. I know their was the "cristianismo going on in Jalisco, were he is from. I will continue to do research. I will gladly share what I discover. Thank you again - for the info. Best of luck discovering your ancestry.

I'm not looking for my ancestry anymore. What I am trying to do now is complete branches of the family. For example, the Santana's. I have the complete Santana family tree all the way to the late 1600's. So, I want to connect your branch with mine. Also, because we are writing a book (my cousins and me) and I want to include your branch in it. So please, if you find out something let me know to help you.

I know you are no longer looking for more information but I am a Covarrubias Santana on my mothers side. I know your mother and aunts since I am related to the Santana's in Guadalajara. Your aunt Celia was my dentist many years ago. I'm very interested in the book you are compiling.
