I need info. on a Martha Coatney living in Chesterfield Co. SC IN 1850 with son Oliver 1844- Mary 1846 & George 1849- Who was she married to first & the father of her children. She married Alfred Hope July 4. 1852 in Union Co NC & was listed in Chesterfield [Old Store ]county SC IN 1860 & the 3 children were listed as Hope. Then I find George in 1880 Old Store with wife Nancy Plyler & her 2 children & their only son John Fletcher born 1879. George Moved his family to NC & is buried at Liberty Hill Bap.Ch. in Chesterfield SC.My father told me his ggrandfather died young & his ggrandmother was Hope. For years I looked for Hope Courtney but that was her husband # 2's name- I believe he named his only son after his father--- HELP. M-COURTNEY COX
