hey my last names Court ,Im 24 from NY ,My grandpas dad was named angel court, So on my dads side my great grandpa . ANyone have an angel court in there family ???? very curious

Not my family but if you can help us out with anyones name and other details of the 1930s or before then we may be able to help you out. Angel can be a man's or woman's name and although it is rare in England is more usually an Italian name. In, I believe it was, the USA 1930s census there was an Angel Court but it was a girl living down in Texas. She was born in Louisiana but the remainder of the family was from Italy. More frustrating for genealogists sometimes names used within the family were sometimes not the names that appeared on their birth certificate. On certificates: is there any chance of getting your grandpa's birth certificate? Your grandpa's parents names should appear on there and maybe where he was living at the time?

I will call my grandpa tomorrow and find out some more info on it. Thanks for responding too.. I didn't know many people had this last name till i started searching it on face book and on here our of curiosity and i was surprised how many came up lol.. Its intriguing.
