I am looking for information on the family of
Joseph P. Coulter in the 1840 and 1850 Allegheny Co>Co. PA Census. He has two brothers in the same
area of South Fayette Twp. in the 1850 Census.
In 1850 Joseph P. is 44 yrs, Goodman Y. is 45 yrs.,
and Stephen is 52 yrs. There are two children
in the Pittsburg area Goodman age 20 unmarried and
Alexander age 25 married with a son Joseph age 2.
Joseph P.'s wife is Hannah age 40 and they have
five children Moses M.15yrs (my ggreat grandfather),
John 13yrs, Jonathan 10yrs, Elizabeth 8yrs, Virginia
4yrs, and they also have Jane Coulter age 77yrs
living with them.
Goodman Y. is married to Uphenia ?,
and they have four children Elizabeth 17yrs, Margary
15yrs, Cynthia 11yrs, and Mary Jane 8yrs, and they
also have an older lady living with them Margary age 76,
and she is Blind. In the next household after
Goodman is a son Moses M. 22yrs with wife Susannah,
and daughter Euretta 7months.
Stephen's wife is Mary and they have four children
John 13yrs, Samuel 11yrs, Margaret E. 8yrs, and
Stephen 6yrs.
Has anyone researched this family and know who the
parents are? Are they brothers? I need help?
