I was cleaning out a trashed house in california (san diego county). I found a box of letters and pictures. most of the letters were from a Ben R Gardner to a Dorothy Coulter.
the letters started early in WWII and ended around 1975.
there was also a box of pictures, some that dated back to 1867.
the names on the back of some of the pics are

virginia robinson woodruff with a note saying rhia's daughter
clark 402 s main fairfield iowa
if someone can prove to me that they are a family member i will send them the 2 boxes.
