I'm looking for family I have never met from my fathers side. My Grandfathers name was Harrison Thomas Coulter, Grandmather was Vira Coulter, Harold Coulter (Uncle), Cybil and Lorena (Aunts). I was told of a cousin, Harold "Sonny" Coulter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Roblyn27,

Hi. I have lots of info on this family. Josephine Coulter McCann was my mother's grandmother. In your research, you may have noticed that she is buried next to Joseph Hughes McCann, but this is not her husband. It is her step-son; her husband was James Hughes McCann, but he ran off with and married Cora Wheeler and is buried beside her. Left my poor blind great-grandmother to raise his three kids and their three kids. Joe died when they were building Goat Rock Dam on the Backwaters and a tree fell on him. Look at the dates of birth and death on the tombstones to confirm this.

I don't know if any of this is important to your research, but I really wanted to get this info out there because a lot of people have mistakenly listed her husband as Joe, when it was really his daddy Hughey she was married to. Even the LDS site has it wrong.

I have lots more info. If you want to strike up a conversation, I'm willing.
