I'm trying to find the parents of James Coulter b. July 1868, who lived at 373 Scott Street, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, PA in 1900.

He was living with his children:
Anna b. March 1885
Andrew J. b. July 1886
Lizzie b. 1889

and perhaps a Mary b. 1897

He listed a woman known as Anna Barger b. May 1848 in Ireland (my great grandmother) as his mother. She was married to Joseph P. Barger b. 1840 in Germany and d. 1885 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, PA.

She was living with her children:
John b. July 1876
Christin C (aka Christopher) b. Feb 1879
Edward James (my grandfather) b. July 1885.

We cannot determine if Anna was a Coulter by a previous marriage or if James was a child out of wedlock.
