(I am looking for info on a James Ray who married a Amelia "Milly" Yocum ( Amelia died 1 Dec 1783 in Mercer County, Virginia or Kentucky) on 5 Jul 1781 in Mercer County, Virginia or Kentucky. If anyone can help with info on either of these families please email me.

You are looking for Milly Yoakum who married in 1781 to James Ray. The only Millie Yoakum I have is listed above, daughter of Matthew and she was born after the death of the Milly you are referring to. She was probably named after the Milly you are researching.

would appreciate it if you would share that information. I'm having a difficult time sorting out my Berry family that inter-married with the Yoakums.

As far as Sarah Yoakum who married John Stevens in
Lincoln Co., VA in 1783, the only Sarah I have that would
be the correct age would be Sarah b. 1759, daughter of Valentine "Felty" Yoakum, who was killed in 1763 at Muddy Creek. I don't know who Sarah married, could this be John's wife?
