I am seeking information on Peter Coulter born about 1871 in Texas. He married Prudy Brummett about 1900. Prudy was born 11 Sep 1880, the daughter of William P. Brummett and Tennessee Sadler. I have not located a marriage record for them. I found P. D. Coulter age 39, wife Prudy, age 28; son Raymond, age 7; son Fred, age 4; mother Francis, age 68 widowed; and nephew John, age 37 TX in 1910 Kendall County, Texas. I assume Pete is the son of Morrison J. S. Coulter and second wife Francis Light. Does anyone know where Pete and Prudy died or were living in 1920 and 1930. Various searches for Pete, P. D. or Peter Coulter/Colter haven't found anything that fit.

No, I haven't found anything more on Pete and Prudy. I found references to Avery Coulter, wife Sylvia Pearl Purser and a couple of daughters on the Lynn County, TX genweb archives, but nothing on Pete and Prudy. My father said Pete and Prudy moved to Tahoka, TX, so I need to check back and see if any new records have been posted on the Lynn County genweb site.

If you will look in the 1930 Census Lynn Co., TX you will find; Coulter, Pete D age 59; Prudie age 49; Raymond age 27 and Avery age 18. This should be the Coulter you are looking for.
