Art -- my fourth Coulter brother was Hugh Coulter who remained in Ireland. When did your John come to Canada? This may not be the same family but Cavan County is where ours came from.

Bill...As I seeit, there could be any number jof Coulter Brothers living in Ireland at one time kor kother. However, our research found 4 Coulters living as tenents on the Townlands of Col Clements in Cavan. So I just assumed they were related in one way or other-hopefully brothers. My GGGrandfather David and family immigrtated to CAnada in 1838 and by 1860 no Coulters remained in Cavan. Early Ontario census show several Irish families living with my grandfather.
