Looking for info on family of David R. and Effie. Had kids named Vera, Velma, and Kenneth John. I would love your help!! I have reason to believe that David changed his name to Andrew Phillips before remarrying his 2nd wife Flossie.

I don't know if I can give you any info or not but my Mom has been wanting me to find info about her mother and father. She was put up for adoption when her mother died. But her birth parents names were Andrew Earl Phillips and Flossie Viola Clasby. She had heard that her father might have changed his name. Please let me know if we are trying to find the same info. The family that you are asking about is my great grand mother Eva Kennedy and her first husband David R. Coulter.
Eva was born in Illinois in 1890 and David was 14 years her senior. Check the 1910 federal census for Oklahoma. They had 2 sons that I know of, Kenneth born (in Kansas?) abt. 1913 and Raymond born abt. 1915.
The 1930 federal census verifies that by 1930 Eva had remarried (Roy Hilbish, also gone by this time), moved to Colorado, and had Velma (my grandmother), Charles, Clara, and Max. Both Ray and Kenneth were raised by Eva. Eva passed away in 1944 in Calif. Ray and Kenneth settled in Colorado and raised their familes there. All the kids were close.
