GGrandfather came from somewhere in Pennsylvania to settle in Wyandotte, Kansas later known as Kansas City. Went back to Pennsylvania to fight in the Civil War and then settled in Carthage, Missouri with his family. I am new at this fun and exciting adventure and have hit a road block. All help will be appreciated.

Do you have any dates on your James P. Coulter? And do you know what unit he was in during the Civil War?

My ggrandpa was born in 1837 and died in 1923. I don't know where he was born but it points to Pennsylvania. He died in Kansas City, Kansas and is buried in Carthage, Missouri from what I can tell. His obituary does not give the years he served in the 14th Pennsylvania Infantry. Company B and my mother penciled in 63rd on his newspaper article. Thank you for your help
