I am looking for any information on the parents of John COULTER, who I believe was born in Ireland around 1940. He married Abigail PARSHALL in 1765 in New York, and served in the revolutionary war, eventually moving to Pennsylvania. They had 9 children, including Thomas, David, Samuel, Jonathan, James, Mary, Abigail, John and Elizabeth. I have extensive information on these kids, who I am descended from, but nothing on the parents, and where they came from in Ireland. John COULTER is buried in the Washington Baptist Church Cemetery in Washington, Mason Co, Kentucky. Would love to trace his line back to Ireland, where family legend says he came from (possibly County Antrim). Any help would be greatly appreciated! I can be reached at jcoulter@umich.edu.
