Wow! I hope I'm not too late. I "think" I can help, but my info is somewhat weaker than most. My gg-grandfather Louis Galliet came to the US in 1849 with his future wife and a niece, Marie. The only niece I could find named Marie who was 13 at the time was Marie Couchot, a daughter of his sister, Marie Galliet. The ship list shows this, and the French census records show her disappearing between 1846 and 1851. The White Oak, Highland, Ohio census of 1850 shows a Mary "Couch" or "Cossot" with the "Gallet" family age 14. I found the marriage record and couldn't get any farther. But you seem to have all the info I didn't have. For more info, see Galliett tree at Ancestry or Rootsweb. Oddly, just today I discovered 3 of her siblings came to the US in 1853. I'm trying to track them down now. (Jean?) Pierre, Xavier and Louise. I can point you to tons of free online info from France. - Roger
