there has been much written on Pierre Couc. He has
been portrayed as the model Frenchman, living up to
the ideals of Samuel de Champlain who encouraged the
men of France to marry the Native women of New
France.(See article by Simone Vincens in "Memo
ries de la SociétéGenealogique Canadienne
Frnaçais", #139, Jan,Feb, Mar 1979 pp33-45.I
Would like to get such a group started. I descend
from Pierre Couc and Marie's daughter,Angelique
Couc who m.François Delpee dit Sincerney Montour.
Pierre's parents were Nicolas Couc and Elizabeth
Templar from Cognac,France. Let me hear from all Couc
dit Lafluer folks out there!!!<tglassel@execpc.com>
