Does anyone have any information about Cotells who lived around Turin or East Martinsburg in Lewis County, New York, in the mid to late 1800's?

I'm not related, but I'm trying to piece together the history of a murder case in Ohio from the late 1800's, and the alleged perpetrator was a Cotell from Turin, New York.
