I am looking for any information anyone has on a Noel Cote, b.1895 to Germain Cote and his second wife (which I have only tracked down as a last name beginning with CHAB per the Ste. Agathe marriage records. Noel is listed in the 1910 Federal Census as being 15 y/o and living with Germain and his third wife Beatrice Baron in Madawaska. My mother (a wonderful source of information) remembers an "Uncle Noel" and thinks he may have moved to the Presque Isle/Ft Fairfield area of Maine. Both my parents remember going to his funeral so he had to have died after 1954.

I was unable to dig up any info when I was in Ste Agathe this summer so anything anyone can offer will be appreciated.

Hello distant cousin,
I have this whole lineage. I live in Madawaska, ME. In fact my grandfather Hypolite Cote raised Catherine Cote, Noel's sister in the paternal home which my father bought. In fact, later on my father purchased the home where Germain used to live and now my brother lives in that home. You have to come back to this area so I can give you a grand tour and history of it all. Have a pic of my grandfather with his first wife Euphemie Levesque & pictured with this is a 2 1/2 yr old Catherine Cote. Don't have Noel's death but he was born Dec-25-1894 in Madawaska, ME but baptized in St. Agatha, ME. Where my grandfather lived, it belongs to Madawaska, yet he used the church in St. Agatha which was just across the lake from his residence (2nd rang). At one point, he owned all the way to the lake but sold that to his cousin, Leda Cote who married Denis Morin. I published the Cote Genealogy Books. Email me directly.

Hello, (Trish?),

You have given a lot letting me know you have this lineage, it took me 5 minutes to get my heard back down. Phew! Thank you, thank you so very, very much.

I would love to see my family especially with the hard time for Antoine and Christiana - Cote and Marseau.

Please keep in touch and let's get together by private mail.

Hi,
I know this is a few years old hopefully your still reading this. I am really stuck and this looks like a link I need. My Grandmother Wilhelmine Perrault had four marriages; (I believe "William" Cote)and had a daughter Leda Cote b. 1904. Also Married Alfred Joseph Valle of the famous Valle, Vallee, La Valle, etc family. Joseph Morin, and Percy Frank Preo. The 1920 US Census shows my GG Mother Wilhelmine living with Donate Laronde his wife Leda and four children. My GG Grandmother is listed as a Sister in Law to Donat. I need some help connecting Leda and any information on my GG Grandmothers ancestors.

Rhenda Leda Vallee was my Paternal grandmother, and George P. Therrien my Paternal grandfather. My GG Grandfather was Alfred Joseph Vallee. I'd be interested in the Cote book as well.

Thanks,

Mike Wilson born Joseph Michael Marcel Therrien.

Have that Noel was born Dec-25-1894 Madawaska, ME & bapt Dec-26-1894 St. Agatha, ME. You see where they lived, the land is Madawaska, but the church closest is St. Agatha. I'm surprised that you did not find it. His godparents are Damase Beaulieu & Celanie Dumond. New email is cotedube@myfairpoint.net You should have come by the house & we would have gone to find your stuff together. Next time you are in the area, please stop in anytime. Thanks

I'm so glad to find you. You probably met my oldest sister, Cynthia Mae Cote, at the Cote Family Reunion, in Madawaska, Me in 1992. I really wanted to go. I just graduated high school but my dad said I was too young. Cyndi mentioned a book where she entered all of our information, our names, date of births. She said she is 15th generation of Cote's
and I'm 16th generation of Cote's. She 10 years older than me. We also spoke to a Tom Cote on the phone after she got back.
My dad is Patrick james Cote. He was born Nov 23, 1940 and died July 10, 2004. He was borned and
raised in Presque Isle, Maine. His father, Alexandre Cote, was the local sheriff.
I was named after my dad's favorite sister, Christine.

Hello Linda my name is Gary Skillings This will come as a surprise but I am communicating with a relative of yours Samantha. We have learned, through the genetic testing website 23 and me, that we (Samantha and I) are second cousins. That much is a genetic fact she tells me. The reason I had my DNA test at 23 and me is quite interesting but I trust once you talk to Samantha you may be very curious to know more. Samantha tells me that you and I may be first cousins. If that is true, there may be a very good reason for that. Linda I was adopted at 12 days old in Biddeford Maine I was born on October 31, 1957, to a woman named Aline Mary Cote. Maine released birth certificates a few years ago and I finally found that out. This woman was 34 years old when she gave birth to me. The reason this is so intriguing is, and probably your mind is already racing, the Aline Cote in your family was 34 years old in 1957. Couple that coincidence with the fact that Samantha and I test out as second cousins and this gets really intriguing. Samantha has been a real gem and so helpful in assisting me ascertain much of this information. She gave me your name and told me you were extensively into the genealogy as is Samantha. Linda I only just joined ancestry to send you this email. My direct email is Gary Skillings1g@aol.com. I was raised in Scarborough Maine but I now live in Jupiter Florida. Call Samantha and verify all this information. She has gotten to know me over the last couple of weeks and she knows I am stable and dependable and trustworthy. My phone number is 561-719-7525. Please .....give me a call.et me know when you have read this via text, preferably.

Thanks.....

Gary.
